Poultry cage system in african chicken farm

There are many poultry chicken cages and poultry farms in African countries. Unlike other countries and regions, African countries need to use layer battery cages, broiler chicken cages and chick cages suitable for their own climate. The poultry farm is also different from other places.

Climate Characteristics of African Countries

The climate characteristics of African countries are varied, and the design of chicken houses and poultry farms needs to be adjusted according to the local climatic conditions. These adjustments can include ventilation facilities, temperature control equipment, drinking water systems, shading measures, etc. In order to achieve efficient poultry farming in these diverse climatic conditions, it is necessary to fully understand the local climate characteristics, combined with advanced agricultural technology and equipment, to provide the best environmental conditions for the farm.

African poultry chicken cages

poultry chicken cages in Africa face unique challenges due to the hot climate in which they operate. In a climate with high temperature, high humidity, and abundant rainfall, the material and surface treatment of chicken cages become critical. In this case, ordinary steel is susceptible to oxidation and rust, so the cages needs to be specially treated to protect its durability and functionality.

However, some suppliers have not paid enough attention to this issue. Some poultry chicken cage suppliers only provide cold-galvanized products, but do not consider the impact of this climate condition on chicken cages. Cold galvanized chicken cages may have rust problems in just 5 years under high temperature and high humidity climates, which will affect the service life of the poultry chicken cage and the health of the chickens.

Different from this, Henan Livi Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., as a professional and responsible chicken cage manufacturer, fully realizes the importance of this issue. In order to ensure that the chicken cages can be kept in good condition for a long time under the special climate conditions in Africa, we use hot-dip galvanizing process to process the chicken cages. Hot-dip galvanizing not only forms a protective film on the surface, which effectively prevents the steel from being damp and oxidized, but also provides better durability inside the chicken cage.

This means that with our hot-dip galvanized poultry cages, you can safely raise poultry in Africa’s hot and humid climate. Our poultry cage system are specially treated to guarantee no rust for 20 years, providing long-term stability and reliability for your farming business.

Features of poultry farms in African countries

Poultry farm in African countries present unique characteristics in the farming industry. This is mainly due to its hot climatic conditions and local resource constraints. In laying hen farms, most farms use 3-tier or 4-tier A-type layer battery cages. This design makes full use of the vertical space in a limited space to accommodate more layers, thereby increasing production capacity.

Open chicken farm: Due to the hot and humid climate in Africa, many farms choose open chicken farms. The open chicken house can adapt to the local climate, reduce construction costs, and at the same time make full use of natural wind and sunlight resources.

Natural Ventilation and Lighting: In high temperature and high humidity climates, natural ventilation and natural light are essential for chicken farms. Open coops allow natural wind to keep the air circulating inside the coop and help regulate the temperature. In addition, natural light also helps chickens grow and lay eggs, reducing dependence on artificial lighting.

Challenges of Enclosed Houses: While enclosed houses may be more suitable in some climates, in Africa’s hot and humid climate, adopting a fully enclosed house can present some challenges. Fully enclosed chicken houses need to maintain continuous ventilation and power supply to ensure the health and safety of the chickens, which may face the problem of unstable power supply in rural areas.

On the whole, the characteristics of chicken houses in African countries are mainly reflected in multi-tier chicken cages, open chicken houses, and the use of natural ventilation and light. According to the local climatic conditions and resource status, the farm chooses a suitable chicken house design, which can not only meet the needs of the chickens, but also improve the breeding efficiency.

Our poultry layer cages Project

The customer adopted poultry cage system with 3 rows and 4 floors. The size of the chicken farm is 80 meters long, 11 meters wide and 3.5 meters high. The upper part of the design structure is a steel structure, and the lower part is a 1.5-meter concrete structure. This unique design allows chicken manure to fall directly into the ground, thus avoiding the pollution of chicken manure and effectively maintaining the hygiene and sustainability of the breeding environment.

Under the equipment layout of 3 rows and 4 floors, 38 sets of equipment are installed in each row, a total of 114 sets of poultry cage equipment. Each set of layer cage can hold 160 hens, which means that the total number of chickens raised on the entire farm has reached a staggering 18,240 chickens. This high-density farming method maximizes production capacity and meets market demand.

In terms of equipment, the customer has adopted advanced drinking water system, automatic feeding system and automatic poultry layer cage system, which has further improved the automation of farming. The drinking water system ensures that the chickens can obtain sufficient water at any time. The automatic feeding system provides accurate feed supply for the chickens. At the same time, the application of the automatic poultry cage system not only reduces the labor intensity of manual egg laying, but also helps to collect eggs in time, ensuring the hygiene and quality of eggs.

The design of this poultry layer cage project not only focuses on high-efficiency production capacity, but also focuses on environmental protection and breeding quality.
